Machining Video: FastCOLOUR EPSON DX7 Printhead 3,4,6,8 Pass Printing Test on Vinyl
The FastCOLOUR’s Printing Resolution includes 360x1080 dpi (3 pass), 720x720 dpi (4 pass), 720x1080 dpi (6 pass) and 720x1440 dpi (8 pass). Here we were doing printing tests on vinyl. Vinyl because at our disposal is a wide variety of vinyl cutters from which you can choose to do the cutting for your small business.
When using the FastCOLOUR, one of the first questions would be around the RIP software you are using to drive the machine. Media profiles are specific to RIP + printer model + media + Ink Set. Please read more on this video here: machining.co.za/video/180032750
Happily, with our large format printers, the availability of pre-built (canned) media profiles is available any day. You may be better served to custom-build profiles at your end, although your RIP would need to enable most functionalities.
So, you can literally push the FastCOLOUR to an - 8 pass printing mode simply because the ink you get from us, the ECO-Solvent ink is cheap. You can always go 8 pass to get an impressive photo quality. This machine is ideal for start-up and entrepreneurial businesses, with a pricing range of just above hundred thousand in South African Rands. Not bad.
We address one more question: Printing for a separate cutter. In other words, a stand-alone vinyl cutter. It’s the best ever option, because having a separate cutter is very economical as compared to acquiring 2-in-one machine.
